Project Manager at a most international Finnish consulting company in charge of conducting field work surveys, analysis and the consolidation of the Carelian Forestry Sector Master Plan in Russia, during the transition period of the former Soviet Union into the Russian Federation. Personally I handled the necessary field work, travelling, and forest information aquisition required during late '91 and early '92.
The following results were presented to the Russian Carelia region forestry department:
1) Description of the forest inventory concept and the scope of forest information and guidelines for operational management practices
2) Analysis of the then current forest management policies and principles, including organisational structures, in place at district forestry offices and field forest operations
3) Consolidation of Forestry Development Plans for 13 Russian Lezpromhoz-named forestry districts
